Work Party - From Day to Night
QUESTION:
I have a work party on in the evening straight after work. I don’t want to wear my work gear but I don’t want to have to take a whole change of clothes. How do I change my day look to night?
Anna
ANSWER:
Making the transition from day look to night can be done easily with a few tweaks and a couple of statement pieces.
Before work in the morning, plait your hair loosely and pin it into a casual bun. Sneak into the bathroom at the end of your work day and let your hair tumble loose – it’ll be gorgeous and bouncy with subtle waves.Pack a dark grey eye shadow, a kohl eyeliner and a highlighting powder in your handbag to change up your makeup from day to night time with a dramatic smokey eye.
And clothes? You don’t always have to wear a dress to party, shorty shorts can be just as sexy and a lot more interesting. I often wear a shorts suit (shorts and a blazer with either a crisp shirt or blouse) to work if I know I’m going out that night. I pack a sexy top like this gorgeous lace tee from Ruby and some statement jewellery in my handbag and swap them for the strict top half. For the perfect transition shoes I love these Mi Piaci pumps – safe enough for the office, but the interesting angles make them edgy enough for party wear.
